What's your flirting style? Are you an outrageous flirt who goes straight for the jugular, a shy flirt who believes it works best when it's subtle, or a sassy flirt who thinks that the way to a man's heart is to make him feel great about himself? Take the dating quiz to find out.
Find out your flirting style by noting your answer, either A, B or C to each flirting question, tally up your answers and then find out what type of flirt you are.
Q1 You're having a girls’ night out and you spot a seriously gorgeous man at the bar. How would you try to catch his eye?
A Wolf whistle him so loud that the local dogs go nuts. In Melbourne.
B Offer your friend three Mojitos if she goes over and asks him to join you. You tell her that if she says “my friend fancies you”, you will never speak to her again.
C Lean forward so that just a touch more cleavage is showing, and fix your eyes on him so that he can’t miss you…
Q2 Success! He offers to buy you a drink. You order:
A Champagne. Well he’s buying, isn’t he? The bubbles will go to your head – and who needs inhibitions when you’ve just pulled?
B Half a light lager, because you don’t want to get drunk and make a fool of yourself.
C Stout, because that’s what he’s drinking. No messing about with halves – you order a pint and handle it like a pro.
Q3 You’re browsing an online dating site and spot a guy you like. What’s your next move?
A You send him a message saying that he intrigues you and asking what he’s up to this evening.
B You mark him as a favourite and hope that he notices.
C You write a friendly email asking more about some interests he mentioned in his profile.
Q4 Hurrah, you’ve pulled! He offers to take you to a football match. You spent the whole time:
A Playing footsie with him and gently rubbing your thigh against his. Surely he can’t be more interested in the footie than in you?
B Bored out of your mind but pretending to have the time of your life.
C Getting him to explain the offside rule, and genuinely trying to understand it. Good luck…
Q5 Your boiler broke, and the bloke who comes to fix it is hotter than Brad Pitt in a sauna. How do you flirt with him?
A Saying “forget the tea, fancy a glass of wine in the garden? I bet you need it, being so hard at work…”
B After he’s gone, you get your dad round to break your boiler so you can call Mr Hot Stuff to fix it again.
C You lean in very close while he’s fiddling with the pilot light, and ask what’s gone wrong. While he’s explaining the ins and outs of boilers, you make eye contact so hard he forgets what a boiler actually is…
Q6 You've been seeing a guy for a few weeks, and you’re due to meet for a drink. He’s already nabbed a table by the time you arrive. How do you greet him?
A Hurry over with a huge smile and hit him with a 30-second smacker.
B You grin “hey, how are you?” and take a seat across the table from him.
C Make sure he sees you from across the room, lock eyes with him and walk over slowly but confidently, never letting your eyes budge. By the time you reach the table his forehead is beaded with sweat and his hands are ever so slightly shaking.
Q7 A guy asks you out, and you're not into him, but you want to let him down easy. How do you come out smelling like a rose?
A Say, "I really would like to, but my boyfriend wouldn't like it."
B Say, "No way, dude, we're buddies!"
C Encase his hand within your two, look him deeply in the eyes, and say, "You're way too much man for me."
Q8 You're feeling frisky, and you want to let your man know. What’s your approach?
A You switch of the telly, sit on his lap and get started.
B Wander upstairs and hope he follows.
C Catch his eye, give a little grin and ask if he fancies an early night.
YOU ARE…
Mostly As: Outrageous flirt
Who needs flirting when you can go for the jugular? Steady on, though – many men will run a mile from such a forward approach.
Mostly Bs: Shy flirt
So flirting works best when it’s subtle, but there is such a thing as being too subtle. It helps if he knows that you’re interested.
Mostly Cs: Sassy flirt
You know that a way to a man’s heart is to make him feel great about himself and his interests. Good going!
