Dating Outdoors

Summer is here, the sun is shining so take your date outdoors!
Summer is now upon us, and with all the hot weather we will hopefully be having, instead of entertaining your date by taking them to the usual indoor venues such as a restaurant or cinema, why not venture outside? With the sun shining, it won’t only be your date’s mood that’s lifted – their libido will be too!
Here are some outdoor dating ideas:
1. A picnic
Simple and romantic, a picnic is the perfect outdoor treat for any date. Find a local park or venue where you can lay out a blanket and entertain your date with numerous food items, whether it’s as simple as cheese and nibbles or something a little more saucy, such as strawberries and Champagne. If alcohol is involved, things are likely to go a lot better than if you stick to fruit juice! For some novel ideas to spice up your picnic we recommend The Great British Picnic Guide. In the book, passionate picnicker Mark Price offers inspiration, so you can plan your perfect picnic. He provides seasonal recipes, from quick and easy sandwiches to more elaborate pies and cakes. The book also includes a guide to the top 20 British picnic sites so you can pick the ideal spot to entertain your date.
2. An amusement park
A theme park is a perfect venue for a date. Going on all the rollercoasters will increase your date’s adrenaline – and if they get scared in the haunted house who do you think they will grab hold of?! Win your date a prize on one of the many fairground stalls and they will be putty in your hands. Make sure you end the date on a high note by taking a ride on the Ferris wheel – it’s slow and cosy, and when you get to the top you have ample smooching time!

3. Dinner date on the river
If you fancy spending that little bit extra, why not take your date on a river dinner cruise? Your date will definitely be impressed at the gesture and effort you have made. You will be together on the river for around three hours, giving you lots of time to chat and savour the fine cuisine. If the sun is shining you’ll be able to enjoy your drinks at the stern, and when night-time comes you can both stare at the stars in the romantic moonlight setting. Also, if you’re on the river, there is no chance your date can escape!
4. Go to a concert
Summer is the time for music festivals and there are plenty of them. The atmosphere, alcohol and great music will make the occasion a guaranteed winner. If you’re stuck for ideas, why not go to the Lovebox Weekender festival at Victoria Park in London on the 19th and 20th July? Or if your date is a hardcore raver, then you should definitely check out Global Gathering at Long Marsden Airfield, near Stratford-upon-Avon on the 25th and 26th July. For something more relaxed, you could go to the Big Chill Festival at Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire, which takes place 1st-3rd August.
5. Trip to the Beach
Sun, sea and sand – what more could you ask for? Take your date down to Bournemouth, Brighton, Cornwall, Devon or another of England’s fine beaches where the pair of you can enjoy chips wrapped in newspaper or a 99 ice-cream. You can take a dip in the sea if it’s hot enough, rent out a pedalo, play beach volleyball or bury each other in the sand. There is so much you can do on a beach outing that your date will never be bored!
